Letter regarding CO alarms in rented houses

I’ve sent a letter to Alok Sharma, Housing Minister, following the launch of the All-Party Parliamentary Carbon Monoxide Group’s (APPCOG) report ‘Carbon Monoxide Alarms: Tenants Safe and Secure in their Homes’ that my friend Barry Sheerman chairs.

The report recommends that landlords must provide a CO alarm in properties containing any fuel burning appliance, as opposed to just solid fuel appliances. It is important to make sure that homes are as safe as possible.
